I have Directv, with multiple devices connected through my Onkyo TX Sv525 receiver, controlled by a Logitech Harmony 650 remote control and have not had any problems for sometime. I've somehow managed to lose the TV audio but still have audio when using Onkyo CD player and Samsung DVD player. I also can watch Netflix using the Samsung TV sound.

I clearly hit the wrong button on my Harmony or have messed up settings between the Samsung TV and the Onkyo receiver - thoughts, suggestions?

Welcome! Check all cables. Do a reset and rerun audyssey. To reset the AV receiver to its factory defaults, turn it on and, while holding down VCR/DVR, press ON/STANDBY. “Clear” will appear on the display and the AV receiver will enter standby mode. Let us know how it goes.

Find your Samsung owners manual & remote and review the sound (fixed vs. variable) & HDMI options.

I suspect you are on the right track. A setting somewhere has gotten inadvertently changed. This will take a few posts to figure out the exact setting and revert it to the originally working state. I'm going to read up on the AVR and TV manual.

Check all cables.
That's a good point. How was the TV connected to the AVR before sound cut out? Anything change or got moved?

Don't do a reset just yet. Let's try and find the cause before you blow away your settings.

I agree - don't do a reset just yet. Welcome to the forum, btw!

A lot of the times that this happens, someone has toggled the selection that chooses if an input should use an HDMI, digital, or analog connection for the audio input. The default is often "Auto" select, but many receivers let you manually toggle between them. I didn't see that option when skimming the Onkyo manual, but it might be the cause.

I think that you're saying that you lost audio from the Directv receiver and not the Samsung TV. If so, is your Directv receiver connected to your receiver (probably over HDMI)?
