I had purchased a Dragonfly v.2 also, and had the opposite results. I had been using the rca outs form a xonar Essence sound card, tried the dragonfly and could not believe how much worse it sounded compared to the asus sound card. Sent it back and have stayed with the sound card for the dac and use and Ember tube amp for headphone output.
