Front LR placement and options?

Ok See my wall.

Need help and suggestions for the front RL...and no I cant drill into the custom trim work. Seats are 15 feet away.

I personally would not put the TV over a fireplace like that, as it is too high, and also there is a risk of damage in the event of a fireplace mishap. Plus there is nowhere to put in a proper surround system.

But if you are going to have it there anyway, you might want to just place a pair of bookshelf speakers on the mantel, one speaker at each end of the mantel. You then would not need to bother with a center channel, as the right and left would be close enough to the TV to anchor the dialog to the TV. This is far from ideal, but the TV placement is far from ideal, so I don't see that as a good argument against it. You will probably want to place them tweeter end down so that the tweeter is closer to ear level, though it is still going to be high (unless you will be sitting on high chairs).

That whole wall was not designed with audio in mind, especially for seating so far away. Pretty much what Pyrrho said is your option.

Hi and welcome! I agree as well with Pyrrho. I suggest a small TV stand from Ikea if you have room. If you can't, then I suggest these speakers for any placement. Do you have a receiver to hook them up? do you want stereo or 5.1? I'm inclined to agree with Pyrrho, that the tv would be more at home on another wall. Turning your furniture layout 90° and relocating your cable drop to another wall would solve all sorts of problems, assuming the walls we don't see don't have walkways. And if a wall fish to move the cable line isn't practical, liberal application of wire molding would make an extended out-of-wall cable run less conspicuous.

I think it would be better to have the TV a little lower and have the speakers on the side. Even just on top of the mantel, the TV would still be too high.
