I need advice please. I can see taking up more space is one disadvantage, but what about the performance part. What can I expect from 2 vs 1?

Thanks,

There are pros and cons to both approaches. The single bigger will have more output (play louder and deeper) and the dual will give smoother response in more locations (when set up correctly).

What is your priority?

Obligatory AH suggestion... Dual XV30's is the best bet :D.

Generally it comes down to someone prioritizing the advantages with either choice.

Dual XV15s have the potential to smooth out room induced bass peaks/dips but you will need to be flexible with subwoofer placement to take full advantage of this.

A single XV30f will offer similar overall performance to the dual XV15s at a lower price($1399 versus $1518). Also, going with a single XV30f now allows an easy upgrade path in the future...simply add a second.
