I was hoping someone could recommend a sturdy wall mount for book shelf speakers weighing up to 20 lbs. The mount would be attached to a stud.

Here is the predicament I am currently in. I am having someone come in next month to wire my basement for a 5.1 system. While they are at it I thought I would also do some wiring for a bedroom that is in the basement. In the future I will buy two bookshelf speakers and want them to be on either side of the tv mount that is going in that room. The problem is I don't know what speakers I will buy yet so I'm not sure if it will effect the wall mount purchase. However I want to buy the wall mounts now so I can get the same people doing the wiring to install the mount and make sure the wiring is coming out at the right place. I could see myself getting something like the Sierra 1's for this room as an example (basically something >$1k).

Any advice is always appreciated!

Thanks guys! What do you think? Just order the speaker mounts and have them mounted? It looks like both of these will handle almost any bookshelf I land on later.

I'm not saying that you are going to do this but some surround speakers have their own mounts. For example, I purchased these Axiom speakers and they come with a speaker specific mount. Personally, I would just mark a spot where the wire should exit the wall and just leave the wire hanging out. I would also make sure I left extra wire length and tie a loose knot in the wire so it doesn't get accidentally pulled back into the wall.

While bookshelf speakers are very nice, for surround channels I prefer the look of dedicated wall mount speakers that take into account boundary issues and WAF.
