What does that mean:confused::eek:
Thanks. IF you're planning on having a turntable you're going to need to buy a separate phono preamp. cheap ones start around $30 (US) and go up from there.

I do believe that Denon does have a built in phono preamp.

I very much doubt I'll be using turntables soon or maybe at all. Although, as I get older it may all change. If I don't intend to use a turntable so would something like that NAD be okay?

I wouldn't sweat the power rating. My former Harman Kardon was only rated at 45 watts per, and it ate my Pioneer VSX-454 (100watts per) for breakfast. It had a far cleaner and more powerful sound.

Sometimes those numbers don't mean as much as we think they do. Heck, you're average tube amp is only cranking out 5-15 watts, and they have power to burn.

The only potential problem being the speakers you're looking at have a sensitivity rating of 86dB, which doesn't make them the most efficient. But, as long as you aren't looking to blow your neighbors out, it should be a fine set up.

That's probably true, I bet a lot of them have loads of power although it does not say and nope, not really it's just for my bedroom. I love my music loud but my stepdad told me he had some vintage Jamo floorstanders so I could always use them to blow the neighbours away, given they are as good as he said they are
