Has any one seen this flick yet? Going on sale starting Tuesday of next week and I wonder if its worth a purchase.

Haven't seen it, but will probably end up blind buying it. Big fan of the first two but have yet to watch the third, which I believe was direct to video. I actually picked up the 3-disc set of the first three cheap over the holidays so I now own that third one now but reviews said it wasn't so great. This one looks good though.

I didn't even know this film was out, so I Googled this morning and found out that there were three...but one is animated.

Dude, Pitch Black is the best one! Dark Fury is the other one that I was talking about, the animated one, so techincally 4 movies. I believe Dark Fury went along with the Riddick game for the PS3, adding to that portion of the story. The game was actually pretty good.

Have you seen Pitch Black? If not, I recommend it. I thought it might just be a low-budget flick when my buddy brought it over, but I was impressed by it.

I've seen it in IMAX. Story was decent like the first two. IMAX PQ was fantastic. So I bet the PQ on the BD is great. It's an eye-candy movie. I will get on BD.

I thought the bait of bass potential, stunning visual affects and action would lure you in here.

I'm getting it on BluRay too. Will look for the first one now.

I picked this up for $19.00 taxes in. Will be buying the new release tomorrow or Wednesday.

That's the one I picked up over the holiday if it included Dark Fury on DVD also.

*Oddly, I just got a shipping notice that says my copy of the new one will be delivered today. I know what I am doing tonight.

Watched it last night. Very similar to, but ot exactly what I'd call a "rehash" of the first one, but more or less a very average sci-fi/action story. PQ was very good and the sound was very well done. Not the strongest one in the story but I was entertained and there were some stupidly funny lines in it too. We were laughing so hard I had to rewind it a few times because we missed the dialog after it for about a minute.

"Where did you get that idea? From a unicorn's a**?"

Forgot to mention, if you haven't seen Pitch Black, this one doesn't have as much meaning since it continues from events that happened in that one.
