Did anybody do the mod. suggested by Inner Fidelity,and if so what are your findings,worth the trouble?

That's a $1,300 to $1,500 pair.
If I spent that much money on a set of cans, then found out they had to modded.....
I think it may be better to find a pair I liked, that didn't need modification.

You can pretty well bet that no matter how something performs, there will be someone who thinks he can make it better. That does not mean he is right.

I have a pair and actually bought partly based on the inner fidelity review.
I have not done the mod as I am very happy with the sound of these cans. On the other hand my hearing is down a couple of db's in the 5 khz region so that might explain why I do not have any problem with them as they are.
I've heard that several of the better Audiophile labels actually use these cans for mixing and mastering, wonder if they have done the mod.
