Default bose SYSTEM CONTROL jack - no sound on "bass module"

Hello, I am attempting to salvage this junk Bose system at a clients house. I installed a new receiver and am using the bose cubes for the speakers, and my intent was to use the bass module as a powered sub and connect the line level sub out on the receiver to the bass module. Well I did this but I get no sound, my guess is it's because the "system control 1" jack is not connected - or some other bose proprietary bull*(#*.

Is there any way to trick the bass module into thinking the system control jack is activated? Any other ideas to get this unit to work as a powered sub?

    any help is appreciated

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why Bose is one of the most hated audio manufacturers (erm, designers) in the hi-fi world.

I wish I knew more about that, you might try a Bose forum, the probably have techies that would be able to help, assuming you say the nicest things about Bose on their forum (they probably won't help you if you diss their garbage, I mean stuff). I would guess that most members here have little experiance tinkering with Bose systems of today, kind of ironic because it is a plug and play thing, so why would one tinker?

Good luck and welcome to the forum,
