After looking around, for an AVR for a 5.1 setup with airplay, network radio and a 2nd zone. I have settled on either RX-V675 or RX-A730. The RX-V675 is $600 and the RX-V675 is $650 from Amazon. They both have exactly the same stats and either would work in my environment. In fact, they are so similar, I can't tell them apart outside of:
  • A730 has 5 feet over 4 feet (does this really matter?)
  • A730 has an aluminum front (does this really matter?)
  • A730 has a programmable +12 V trigger output (not important to me)
  • A730 is the bottom of the 2013 Yamaha Aventage series
  • V675 is the top of the 2013 Yamaha v*75 series

Does anyone know why I should go for the A730 over the V675?

Thank you!

Not sure of other physical differences but the Aventage line has a three year warranty, the RX-V only two.

Frankly, the biggest difference is probably appearance. There may be a nicity or two added into the aventage, possibly a very minor actual component difference, but I doubt anything that noticeable. For $50, if you think the aventage looks nicer I'd go for it. If the $50 is important to you, I doubt you're missing out on very much sticking with the RX-V.
