Yamaha RX v550

I am looking to buy a reciever to start my home theater, the yamaha rx v550 seems a steal at $280 w/ shipping. Does anyone have any suggestions concerning a reciever to start my home theater (looking to spend around $300 if possible). Anyone have any comments about the yamaha rx v550

Someone else just posted a similar thread...........go with the v650 for $350, much better upgrade from the v550 or if you can afford around $420 shipped, go with the v750, that's what I have and love it. Here is a link for comparison http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/compare/receiver_18.htm

I also recommend going with the 650 coz it's huge improvment over the 550,
