FYI I just GAVE AWAY a Sony ES receiver of a similar vintage just because it did not support any of the new connections and it would have basically become a doorstop in my basement. At 80 WPC for the fronts and 25 WPC for the rear, I am thinking you could do something much more constructive with that money. I would look at the base models they carry at accessories4less.com and just do a simple comparo ... you will see the differences.
In case you were wondering (to compare specs) the unit I just gave to my friend was a Sony DA90ESG.
