ok so i'm doing a few projects (as you can see from all the questions) and am about to mount my speakers.
Unfortianately i have NO attic above me.
Si i'm gonna drop the lines down the wall and then carpet fish..
Which brings me to my question,

How do i come out the wall and in to the carpet as discreetly as possible??
I'm assuming pull the trim off then cut and patch?

any suggestions are appriciated!

Is there a crawlspace under your house? If there is you could drill down through the bottom plate then run the wire under the house, and then back up in the wall through the bottom plate again. If you end up pulling the trim off depending on how big the trim is you may not need to do any patching.

No crawlspace above or below... its on my second story.
The trim is pretty big i'd say 3-4" trim. i was thinking it would be easy to just drill a little hole and pull through... but then i realize how hard it would be to find the wire in that little hole if i was dropping from above.

any suggs?
