What's the speaker building business like?

What type of volume do various speaker builders make?

What's the overhead like?

Who are the demographics?

How much time is spent on marketing? Do they have a firm or do it in house?

Who does their media buys like print ads and web? Do they farm it out? Photography?

Whats the raw materials and parts like?

Are there engineering firms that specialize in speaker design? Or mostly in house?

I realize this is very open ended, and there are giants and one man shows and that inbetween, but, just interested, not looking to build speakers for sure. lol (tell me all your secrets lol)

We gotta do this though:
1. Avoid bashing a company, actually if we keep it positive it'll get farther.
2. Obviously be ethical
