I have the Diamond 9.6 - can't speak for the other. I've found the Diamond 9.6 to be very power hungry. If you don't have at least a 200wpc amp; don't bother with the 9.6's as they will never reach their full potential. The 9.5's can produce a great amount of bass on less power. The 9.6's are worth the extra money, IMO. I've found that they are very sensitive to interconnects and speaker wire / Dac selection is very important - don't get anything overly anaylitcal as the speakers will lean towards overly fatiuging if you do. They can be very musical with the right setup. They are very detailed, and just need to have the right combo of parts to make them shine.
