Wharfedal opus 2-2....it looks like a gentle monster.

They are very nice speakers, the 2-3's are on a very short list of speakers that I enjoy with out a subwoofer needed... The problem is these are tough to get in the US, but when you find them they are worth a listen for sure..

The Opus line was phased out, and now replaced by the Jade series. I listened to the Jade's and the sound is phenomenal.

I have a pair of Opus 2.2 rosewood.

They are exceptional speakers and very pleasing to the eye as well.
I bought them as discontinued stock in Toronto for a supposed 70% off.

I am using them in a 2 channel set up with an Anthem pre amp and power amp along with a
Cambridge Audio 851c.

No need for a sub, great soundstage, detail and separation.
