Just finished listening to the new remaster of West Side Story and it's absolutely magnificent.. Purchased this on the recommendation from Michael Fremer on analog planet.. Never heard of Analog Spark but they did an incredible job.. Records are top notch.. Unbelievably good!

The sound is stunning.. So clean, clear and wide.. This is definitely the best recording I have in my collection.. It's simply amazing that something recorded in '57 sounds this good.. This is an absolute must buy..

Is it the Broadway play or the movie? I've got a CD of the Broadway play and it's excellent. And, as a bonus, it's got Bernstein's symphonic overture.

From the early 50's the recording technology has been pretty durn good. Just look at the RCA Living Stereo and Mercury Living Presence reissues. IT took some time for the playback technology to catch up.

It's the Broadway score recorded in 1957 and sounds stunning.. I also purchased the Leonard Bernstein Rhapsody in Blue/ American in Paris reissue and it's beautiful.. West Side Story is a must.. I used the cheapest shipping method and it arrived in a week or so without damage..
