VGery basic home theater set up help required please

Hello,

I have a very basic question regarding speaker and amplifier set up. This is all new to me and I’ve tried some basics but I am obviously missing something obvious.

I have a Sony STR-DG510 amplifier that is connected to speakers and I want to connect it to my TV (Samsung UE46ES6200) but I didn’t know the best way to connect (physically and also in the settings) so that when I watch TV/Play on my PS3 I can use the speakers for the sound.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Plug your ps3's hdmi cable into one of the hdmi inputs on your avr either dvd or BD in, then plug the hdmi from your cable box into the other input. Plug your tvs hdmi 1 cable into the avr's HDMI plug marked "out". Turn the tv on and tune to hdmi 1, turn your avr to either dvd or bd depending on which you are using and you should be good...
