Used Arcam Alpha 9 Amp Question

I am looking at a used Arcam Alpha 9 Amp that has been thoroughly checked out. I am waiting to find out how old it is, but was told it is roughly 5 to 10 years old. I am very impressed with the sound quality, but am wondering if there is any problem with buying something this old, and wonder what kind of problems it may have further up the road. It is selling for $499, and comes with only a 30 day warranty. Any advice? I am also considering a new NAD C326 which I like nearly as much.

With amps, as long as they work, it isn't like the job they do changes much. I see no problem buying an older amp.
