UNC National Champions

For the 7th time, the University of North Carolina won the national basketball championship!

1924, 1957, 1982, 1993, 2005, 2009, & 2017

I'm UNC Class of 1970. While I was there, the Tarheels went to the Final Four for 3 consecutive years, 1967-69, without winning a title. So, when they do win, it's a big deal for me .

Lots of happy people in my neck of the woods... Lots of very unhappy Duke fans too lol, but who cares about Duke!

I can't get too excited about UNC winning the title. Granted, they are very talented. But Gonzaga's players actually attend classes and can write their names. So I am a bit disappointed, but I will live.
