A while back I took advantage of an Amazon "Gold Box" sale to pick up a set of Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10 in ear monitors and can't say enough good about them. But since then I picked up a Droid X and loaded it with 20GB of music and realised it sucked carrying headphones to listen to music and a BT headset for phone calls and switching back and forth. There is a version (TripleFi 10vi) with a cable that includes a microphone and mute button, but Amazon get's an extra $130 ($350) for that version. Well I got to looking at the cable, then Logitech's website and ordered a "VI" replacement cable ($20) and darned if it didn't work just fine. My 10 now function like a 10VI.
I'll still keep the BT for daily use but I'll have my good set of IEMs in the car for those days when I need portable tunes.
