treating my room little by little

I want to start treating my room, but for the moment I am only able to afford either 2 bass traps or 3 first reflection point panels that will be purchased from GIK acoustics. I have to do this step by step while I am in school to consider school costs, so don't recommend me to buy all at once. Please, any advice would be appreciated.

Treating little by little is fine. You'll learn more that way, too.

Listen to your ears. Which bothers you more, messed up imaging or bloated bass? Treat accordingly; there's no other criteria to go by.
