Tower Records to be liquidated

Interesting- I see Tower is banko and will probably be completely liquidated.

That's right...my local Tower has the "going out of business" signs up with 10 - 30% off on everything. Kind of sad, but the inevitable reality of the market. When they quit putting the Hi-Rez stuff in their own section, I switched to Amazon for most of my purchases.

Since I moved to Watertown, I usually have to try Wal-Mart first. If (most likely when) they don't have it, I drive to Sioux Falls every couple weeks & hit Best Buy. If they don't have it or I don't want to mess with it I buy online. Movies I generally do find at BB, but a pretty high percentage of all my music is purchased via the 'net.

Wow, that's too bad. Tower Records in Citrus Heights, CA always had a great Classical selection. I used to spend SOOOO much money there on CD's.

I always liked the eclectic selection of books at Tower you did not see at other retail outlets.

There's little replacement for that sort of browsing online.
