Yea, I was thinking that about the Metallica album released last year (Cripe, I can't believe it's already been a year), which I thought was the best record of 2008 (but not necessarily the best recording). I wish they hadn't produced it with 'loudness wars processing'. I dunno, I'm still waiting for the next "big thing".
