strange things a happenin

So I am using a yamaha universal player as my cd player and i noticed a strange thing happening. I have it hooked up to the dvd imputs but if i switch to the recevier (Yamaha RX-777 stereo 100 watts/ch) to cd and turn it WAY up I can hear the cd that is playing real softly. What up with that?? Cheap components?

Sounds like bleed through.

Not uncommon when you turn it way way up you can hear another source playing softly in the background. This is in the source switch. Maybe more expensive stuff will curt it, maybe not. I wouldn't worry about this unless it happens at normal listening levels, which is isn't.
