Strange buzzing from Cadence Sub

I just purchased a Cadence X-sub. I hardly have any hum at all (only audible from about 6 inches away) but when heavy bass notes hit at any volume I get a buzzing sound. It's hard to explain the sound but it almost sounds like an electrical buzzing that you would hear from high current power lines.

Has anyone experienced this and could it be caused by sound coming from the receiver or is it more than likely a defective unit?

It's more likely a bad ground on your RCA cable, I'd check the connections, or try and swap it out.

I will try changing this cable out tonight. I have never experienced an RCA ground problem. Is an intermitent buzzing noise a side effect. It doesn't constantly buzz, only when the movie gets bassy.

Who knows, it could just be flakey and when you get some vibration it gets worse.

Call Cadence and let them know. They'll take care of it right away, even if it means sending you another amp. Great customer service.
