Speaker Wire Question: Twisted pair & Un-twisted pair 14 AWG 4 cond. wire

Hi:
I have prelaid 14 AWG 4 conductor wire for speakers in my basement that is getting sheet-rocked today. I did not have the luxury of time to wait for better wires and so these are not twisted pair wires but regular 4 conductor wire. If I use two wires together, will I still get the benefit of 11.6 AWG? Or should I just settle with using two of the 4 conductors since they are not twisted-pairs?

It is kind of late to change anything but atleast I can be prepared. Thanks in advance,

Rajiv

I don't follow you? It makes no difference if they are twisted pairs or not. If the run is less that 80ft and you are using 8 Ohm speakers, you could probably use just a single pair, but using two shouldn't hurt anything at all. If it's at or over 80ft, use two.

Isn't the Canare 4S11 non-twisted? If so, it seems to be labled as a high-end 4 cable wire.
