Speaker Recomendations

I have limited space for my 5.1 center channel. Right now I am using a Marantz 1605 and have the monoprice premium 5.1 system. Needless to say I there is not much punch with the Monoprice speakers.
I am looking for a new front left center setup but my center channel is limited. My mantle is only aroudn 6 inches deep and the height from it to the tv is only 5 and 1/2 inches.
I would like to keep the price under $800. Any recommendations?

Thanks
Tyler

Your setup is already severely compromised! In my opinion, I have a hard time spending decent $ on a system, then handicap the system right out of the gate.

Do you have a subwoofer? If you want "more punch", and you don't have a sub yet, then that is where you want to start.

However, with your budget and your space limitations, I would be looking long and hard at these:

What sub? Is it the Monoprice sub? Which model?

Several of our regular members here have been very curious on the monoprice subs, I'm not sure that we have anyone that has any direct experience on them yet.

Yes it is the sub that came with it. It seems fine but I am use to a 15 inch in my home theater room. This system is also in a room that is like 500 square feet

Speakers that small in a room that big is just going to be a compromise....physics! I also think the 200SE and a better sub may be a good path for an improvement, tho.

If only someone had mentioned that in Post #2 :p

Just to add a couple other options. You will need to look at dimensions and sizing for yourself, but these tend to be good options for a fairly tight budget:

EDIT: I believe these Philharmonic AA are rear-ported, so likely not good for you.
