Speaker reccomendations for HT system

That's it. It separates the high and low frequencies farther up the wire. Makes absolutely zero difference at all.

Wouldn't the exposed copper plating increase the possibility of interference from the environment (more so than the wire exposed at the receiver due to doubling the connections)?

No.

Any level of interference from the environment into speaker cables is orders of magnitude below signal level anyway. You're talking about levels of watts. Interference will be fractions of milliwatts.

Awesome. I have it wired up normally, and the sound quality is a massive upgrade from the old system. I am waiting on the delivery of a component tower, and picking up a screen, then I will post a photo of how the theater has come together. I opted to purchase a screen prior to a sub, as the monitor 70s have a very solid response frequency. I am doing my research into a screen before I make any decisions.
