Speaker Purchase and Placement on Countertop Help

Hi. I am a newbie here.
I have a question about bookshelf speakers that I am considering purchasing.
I have a shelf/countertop top area and my speakers will there.
I am getting new speakers and I have narrowed down my choice to two.
Dynaudio Focus 160 and the Harbeth P3esr. I like the sounds of both of these when auditioning them under "optimal conditions."
I am wondering which will be better up against a wall in my situation. (The may sit actually 6-8 inches from the rear wall.) I know that the 160's have a rear port and also reach lower. I listen to jazz and vocal and piano and chamber music. I have a NAD C375 BEE amp.
Thanks in advance!

Rear ported should be OK (not ideal, but will work) with 6-8 inches between them and the wall, so get the ones you like the sound of better.
