speaker prob

I have a pair of behringer truth b2031 active speakers and recently one of them has a strange LF sound even when my mixer is off...Have changed the cables and checked any EM fields around the speakers...HELP PLEASE!!

Have you moved the speakers recently? If so try a plugging them back to where they were 1st. If you have a hum it is most likely a ground loop issue. Get a cheater plug and you should be good to go.

This needs to be prefaced. This method sometimes works, but be warned that by using this method you're eliminating your security blanket - which has the potential of being quite costly in the long run. That's why they were added in the first place. You're much better off tracking down the source and isolating it.

Do they make noise when the input is unplugged? If they do I'd say it is a problem with the internal amp, if not, then it is prob a ground loop.
