Hi everyone -
I consider myself an audiophile, but am clearly a newbie. I want to install speakers in my apartment but need some advice. I will be installing speakers primarily for music listening, but will also use them for movie/tv watching. I have a big pillar in my room, which makes things more complicated. Does anyone have any advice where I should place the speakers? Would putting the rear speakers behind the pillar, so that the pillar is blocking the rear right speaker (there is about 8 feet clearance between the pillar and the speaker), make a big difference in sound quality?
