I have a Vizio m50-c1 that says no signal but I get sound but no picture and as far as my old brain can tell eberything is hooked up right...TV to HDMI output and Blue Ray to HDMI 1 and cable box to HDMI 3. I'm starting to think I have a bad HDMI cable going from the Yamaha receiver to the TV. Anyone have a suggestion?

What happens if you connect the BD player to the TV directly for a test? Try it.

I suspect your video output is set wrong on your receiver. You have to set the video out to match your TV which I suspect will be 1080p.

You have to do much more than just make connections these days. You have to set up inputs and outputs with the OSD set up menus.
