slight static noise

Hi,

I have a minor problem that has shown up while streaming from computer over hdmi to my stereo where when a track change happens I get a a slight static noise. This did not use to happen.
I use Jriver but also happens with youtube. Any ideas?

Have any audio drivers been updated recently? Perhaps as part of an auto-update?

That is my first thought, check the timeline on driver updates. If this problem were new at install, then the advice may be to search and install driver updates.

Do you know of "anything" that may have changed recently?

That really should not be the problem. But, how did the timeline of that change line up with the start of your problem?

Easy test is to simply unplug the sub from both the wall and the source/AVR.

The problem you describe would seem to me to be something going on in the digital domain, not the analog domain.
