Here is a sneak peek of my review of the Sherbourn 7/1250A before it goes up on our homepage.

Sherbourn 7/1250A Amplifier Review

Since the JND at 16kHz is 1 dB spl minimum, 3 dB average, I doubt anyone would hear the frequency roll off of this amp, especially with music. ;)

"Level Discrimination as a Function of Level for Tones from .25 to 16khz", Florentine, Mary, et al, Journal of Acoustic Society of America, 81(5) May 1987, pg 1528-1541.

Thanks for the "sneak peek' Gene-but I've checked the write-up as well as Sherbourn's webpage without finding out if the channels are bridgeable, like in the 200 wpc amps. Still have that amp handy?

Bryan...this might be the one...

They don't offer bridging option on this amp like they do with the 7/2100.

Dag nab it...that would've been perfect for my speakers (bridging the fronts and running straight on the rest of the surrounds). Thanks for checking, Gene.

Bryan...saving for the 7/2100, I guess...

Or you can do passive biamping to the fronts if you don't need all 7 channels.

Hello
Gene I think you were quite gracious with your review of the Sherbourn
Something struck me as I viewed the photo of the Amp with the cover off
I had seen that design somewhere before. The pictured amp below does not look identical but it is strikingly similar where is the Sherbourne manufactured?
If you want to see what a real amp looks like inside look at the next set of photos of my modded Kin 2 channel amp ;) Yes Virginia that is a quarter :D
