Last night... I had some more time to play with it...
140 page instruction manual
.... like I really need it! Ok... well, for some things I will. (Internet and computer connectivity for instance to see what all it will do).
OTA is simply outstanding. It has a really good tuner built in, channels respond quickly (unless it's manual input through numbers, then it slows a bit).
The guide pop-up is very nice as well.. but I wish I could see all of the program description.
DISH Network.... beautiful on 1080i sources, and the 1080p VOD channel syncs right up with the television. (haven't ordered a 1080p yet, but oh well).
Blu-Ray... watching Kill Bill, really reminds me of watching a CRT, all the contrast, brightness, color, and sharpness. Not to mention, the black and white opening scene is really really clean looking on the tv (except the scene itself which is bloody
)
I would love to see Sin City on this TV. I bet it would just be breathtaking.
Up-converted DVD's through the PS3, look surprisingly sharp so far.
Also, shut off the AutoMotion 120Hz... wow that makes everything weird.
Now how can I get my old man to change his o.g. surround system?
:sigh:....
