I'd be grateful for any advice. I have a DVD that I'd like to see. It was sent to me from France. I'd assumed that DVD's were universally playable and now see that isn't the case. I've read that there is a way to switch something in the DVD player so I can watch it, but there's nothing in the instructions that says it is possible. I have a SAMSUNG DVD Vhs combo player, model# v-1000. The DVD jacket says:
Format: 4/3
Code regional: Pal - all zones
Sound Configuration: PCM Stereo
Any hope that I'll be able to see and hear this DVD?
