Mule, you have done a disservice to the WWF with that comparison IMO. I have listened to Limbaugh during four or five minute snippets of him on the radio a few times over the years. Couldn't take anymore than that. I found him to be a pompous self aggrandising know it all nit-wit. I would go out of my way to avoid listening to him at this point. But that's me.

What? Are you saying that wrestling isn't real? Next thing you'll be telling us that the Easter Bunny is a fake. Rush Limbaugh is the king bunny.

The thing I hate the most is he uses such absurd arguments. I mean its one thing to make a point but he just keeps repeating the same old party talking points.

I prefer his standard guest host (Mark Hitchcock I think) his arguments are far more logical and I don't feel like he is talking down to his audience as much as Rush.

This Viagra thing is just too funny :p and typical of the party he serves. (limp ****s) :p :) :D

BTW: What ever happened to that other drug problem he had. I know he did rehab but did he also plea-bargain it away?

I just don't understand if he is innocent as he says he is then why didn't he use his rights to a speedy trial and go to court?

An innocent man should have nothing to worry about and does not need to plea-bargain.

Rush is just a troll of the system. He uses American rights and values while demonizing those who would dare do the same. Some of his points I agree with, others I do not. But, if Rush were to comment a few years ago about what should be done with someone who had drug issues and was taking part in illegal actions to get/maintain those drugs, even if they were prescriptions - it sure would not be a mirror of how he has been treated.

I have no issue with the way he has been treated, but I think it goes against everything he has spoken about for years!

No more then Al Franken, or CNN or Fox. I try to avoid all of those extreme people, all they do get me P.O.ed. I would rather chill to music then raise my blood pressure listening to any of those clowns.

I listened to him regularly for awhile, but got very tired of the repetitive, shrill self-righteousness. I do like the satirical music of Paul Shanklin, but the politics got old quickly. Same for the other ends of the spectrum (Anyone able to stomach Al Franken for more than 10 minutes?)

I loved the jab the other night on Letterman: "Rush Limbaugh...all bonered up and ready to go!"

Anyone see this?

Robin Williams on Leno joking about it.

Really, what does Limbaugh need a bottle of Viagara for on a fishing trip with the guys in South America? For time with the guys? Prostitutes? Were other drugs hidden inside? At the very least, he broke the law and his probation, and no explanation he can come up with is very moral or very Christian.

My parents defended him, though. Must have heard if on his show or someone else defending him. "The guys at the airport were out to get him. They had no reason to search his stuff." Yeah, Limbaugh's just a victim here. :D

REALLY, now, Bri. I thought you were pro-homosexual and quite against bias concerning sexual preference. Are you not so tolerant and understanding when it comes to co...co...con....servatives?! :D

Oh wait! I see what's happening.....

Rush is an entertainer. That is his job. He’s really not that conservative. You want to hear an extreme conservative? Listen to Michael Savage, on the savage nation. That guy will have all the libs crying in their beer.

Really ? Perhaps you might want to learn some facts ...

APwire said:
Limbaugh signed a deal with prosecutors that will dismiss a single charge commonly referred to as "doctor shopping" after 18 months if he complies with the terms.

Under the deal filed Monday, Limbaugh cannot own a gun, must submit to random drug tests and has to continue treatment for his acknowledged addiction to painkillers. But he didn't have to admit guilt ...

Doubly so, Jax! ;) It's a kettle and pot thing...both dirty with bias and consequential philosophical inconsistencies in their commentaries. C-bri's comment was made to deride and insult (not to point out the irony). That's easy to see in the context of the post. Sounds a lot like RL to me.

Unfortunately

Many people would like to ignore politics. They have a point.

Unfortunately, in our society, power doesn't disappear when you ignore politics.

It's a competition for the power, and to get the freedom and keep it to ignore politics much of the time, takes some effort in politics to protect your interests.

If you don't, you will find yourself on the wrong end of a nasty system when you have fewer and fewer rights, more and more tax dollars are spent for others and billed to you and your children. There may have been a time when the political system was more 'for the public good', and there are still politicians who try to do that, however things are fairly corrupt now overall.

Rush isn't just an entertainer, he's a front man for a nasty group.

David Brock's books, Blinded by the Right and The Right-Wing Noise Machine, paint a good picture of who, what and why.

Hopefully, more people will see the problem and vote for the better side, while there still is a better side to pick.

If the power gets too concentrated, they can turn their sights on dominating both parties... a democratic party Liebermans, and no good choice.

Better side? Which would that be? The other side of the tarnished coin. Those that have their hands in your other pocket?

David Brock? To steal a quote... "he's not an {author}, he's a front man for a nasty group." http://www.slate.com/id/2063759/

It was a joke, dude.

An extreme right-wing conservative talk-show host first is a drug addict, and then gets caught with an illegal prescription drug - Viagara, of course! And on a fishing trip with the guys! Have you ever heard of irony?

Yes, I am pro-homosexual. That doesn't mean I wouldn't say anything if a big anti-gay person turned out to be gay. It's hypocritical to be against something when you are taking part in it yourself, whether it's drugs, homosexuality, prostitutes, child molestation, etc.

Actually, my point was to point out the irony of the situation, which was crystal clear from the first drug charges. He's a criminal, and people say he's the victim. My secondary point was, yes, to make fun of him. So what? All he does every show is attack and slander "libs." Where's the harm in making a little fun of him when he gets in trouble with the law?

Cyberbri ... The man became addicted to pain killers after a very serious back surgery. I listened to the show when he announced this. To paint this as calling the man a drug addict is beneath contempt. The way some people act, one would think Limbaugh was smoking crack.

If this was a liberal politician, he would have been lauded for his courage.

Instead, small minded, bitter individuals are pounding on the man.

As for the "illegal Viagara" ... whatever happened to something being a man's personal life ? Yep, when it is a conservative, let's crucify him.

It is also darkly amusing ... a left winger like yourself labeling someone a criminal because he was arrested. Criminal means one was convicted of a crime.

Yep, and he has his perfectly logical reasons for his comments, too. It's funny how (I'll say again) you both sound alike. (Actually Craig234 sounds more like the left-handed version of Rush.) Yin and yang. Two sides of the same old coin. Polarizing America by lobbing insults across the political aisle must be a lot of fun. So many are doing it.

Too bad facts get lost in the rush (pardon ;) ) to judgement by both sides.
