Going with a 75" Samsung LED, 1080p. The 63 fit perfectly and going with a bigger screen I am going to have to have a mount that will allow me to move it out to access the attic door.
The shelf you see was built to house amplifiers and to provide a resting spot for the TV, as I had the Samsung cable system.
I was in a high end shop where I bought my Paradigm speakers and they have a Smart mount by Snap AV. 340 bucks, that's 110 off retail. Surely I can get a cheaper mount to suit my needs.
I'm hoping I can add 2 2x4's to secure the mount and have it rest just above my center channel, but I'll have to see. This would allow the mount to sit in the recess as far as I'd like it to, making the TV flush with the wall.
I don't really have any specific questions, just looking for input and suggestions.
