Recommendations for 5.1 setup

Looking for speakers for a 5.1 setup for around $500. I'm finally finishing off a room that is about 12x12. Currently looking at the Pioneer VSX-815-K (or maybe the 515 to save some money). Will use mostly for music (classic rock, jazz) and some movies. Any suggestions/help will be appreciated.

In that room, it would be an excellent performer.

With an STF-1 its 498 (before tax + shipping)
