RCA Splitters

Hey. Currently I have my PC connected to a DAC that has outputs for both my sub and 2-channel amp, but I wanted to get a preamp for vinyl reasons, and the one I have my eye on only has one set of pre-outs. Any downside to just splitting the outputs?

Do you have a regular pre-amp? How do you plan to control the volume if you ONLY have a phono-->phono preamp-->split to amp/sub???

My apologies, I should have been clearer in just saying "pre-amp". Yep, it's a regular preamp with a phono stage.
