Hello everyone. Just had a quick question regarding playback of a uhd 4k blu ray dvd.
About 6 weeks ago my wife and i purchased a 4k Tv. It's an LG OLED 65".
Along with that I also purchased a Pioneer sc-lx501 receiver that day.
This lead to me doing a total upgrade to our 7.1 system.
Anyhow, not being much of a movie buff, it was just this weekend that we bought some UHD dvd's to flex our systems muscle a bit. I have and XBOX One S that i'm using for a player, but every time we put in the UHD dvd it must have performed a test, then displayed a message urging us to plug our dvd player into a 4k tv for best results.
I have my Xbox plugged into my receiver, the receiver going to the tv, and i also upgraded to HDMI 2.0 cables (

My concern is we aren't getting the full potential. This being the first 4k dvd we've watched, i also wasn't sure if this was just standard practice to pop up that message.
We watched Everest, and Dead Pool, both did the same thing.
What do i have going on over here?
