Hey guys, question about their calculator. Might seem stupid, but I'm gonna ask anyways. When you input the model type, lets say AE4000, then you input the size of the screen, lets say 92". The throw distance that it gives you, in theis case 12', is that the recommended throw distance, or optimal or what exactly?

Thanks!

It is the exact middle of the possible throw range for that size of projector.

If the range is 10 to 12 feet, then it would be the middle - 11 feet.

If the range is 8 to 16 feet, then it would be 12 feet.

Nothing scientific about it at all.

Also, the closer you are to the minimum the brighter the image will be.

Conversly, the closer to the maximum you are the better the contrast ratio will be.

The chart is intended to show the range of mounting options for each projector. This range is determined by the optics (zoom) on the PJ.
