Presence: dipole or direct?

Any reason why "presence" or "height" front speakers should be direct radiating and not dipole?

I used to enjoy the presence channel for some movie and hall effects on my yammy with an old pair of B&W bookshelf speakers. In comparison to Klipsch, I always found them sort of dull and noticeably less sensitive. For these reasons, I'm reluctant to reinstate them in my system.

I have a pair of RS25 dipole surrounds languishing in storage and thought I'd use them for the presence channel.

Also, looking into the future, what do you think about dipole "height" speakers for PLIIz? (Coincidentally, I noticed a PLIIz thread but I thought my main question would be too much of thread-jack).

I'm tempted to experiment, but I thought I'd see if fellow audioholics had some input before I start poking holes in my wall.

They should probably be direct, you really don't want the presence sound bouncing all around, but there is no reason not to try it.
