My power amp does not sound to good to me any more. Sounds like a lack of tone.
Is there anyway I can test my power amp?

Please help!!!

Your power amp doesn't make any sounds - your speakers do. If you don't like the sound, the speakers are the prime suspect.

Are you sure this isn't a continuation of what TLS Guy already responded to you about?

Also, I don't get what you are trying to test. Do you have reason to believe your amp is not in working order?

Seriously, if you listen at high volume all of the time, have your hearing tested.

You mean it sounds muddy and not clear at all?

Hook up other speakers to the amp to see if it improves the sound.

Did you check your tweeters, you might have blown them?

DenPureSound was telling me for a few weeks that his ancient Infinity speakers sounded like crap.

As it turned out, the midrange drivers were blown!!!

No wonder they sounded like garbage!!!:D

I would suggest using a test CD that has frequency sweeps from 20 Hz to 20kHz and see if there is a silent band someplace. This would help pinpoint the issue.

Muisc sounds well but then the sound drops and sort of fade away. I am considering changing the Plinius P10 for a Rotel) 1090 - any thoughts on that?
