Posting and resizing photos

When I post a photo, I have no idea how big it will be. It seems like thumbnails are standard, but then I sometimes get the whole photo imbedded, which is what I want. Can someone explain how to control this?

Also, how do you get around the 5 attachment limit? How can you post pdfs that are over the 100kb limit?

Use an external, free hosting service such as photobucket to post images. You don't have control over attachments and no way to change the attachment size, those are set by the moderators.
