I bought this reveiver open box, and the calibration mic was missing.

Does anyway know of where I can get a mic that would work, or is manually setting up the system (with MCACC) just as viable of an option? Would an SPL meter be the correct equipment to use in this case.

All recommendations would be appreciated.

Eeek !
Now if you lived in San Diego, CA, USA, I would be happy to lend you mine. I was quite happy in regards to the auto-calibration. Otherwise, you can always buy an SPL meter and return it the following day (I know several people that have). :D

Hey..Thanks for the offer. Yeah I was a little ticked when I got home and that wasn't in the little bag. Any other alternatives, like mics for sale elsewhere? Pioneer wants $50 for theirs with shipping, handling, and tax. Seems like robbery to me.

I'd say if your comortable using the spl meter to set it up thats your best bet, I think you can get one at radioshack for around $40, as for another mic I dont know, itd have to be some thing truly omni directional.
