Opinions on Denon dcm-380?

I'm looking for a great sounding CD player to connect to a Denon 2105. Any opinion on how the denon 380 will do?

To further qualify my question... I'd be interested in a universal player if one exists that plays CD well...

Right now I'm considering 2 units: DCM-380 for CDs and DVD-2200 for DVD / multichannel audio... because CD playback seems poor for most universal players...

This only makes sense if the DCM-380 plays CDs much better than the DVD-2200 on CDs as I don't care about the carousel and would go with a single unit if CD playback is very good.

I have the Denon 380 and 2900 DVD/multi player and prefer the sound on CD's played from the 380. Both units are fed via coax to a Denon 3805 receiver so I have no idea why they would sound different (since I believe they are using the receivers DAC's that way). One of the many mysteries of HT I guess
