new receivers

how about a recommendation on a receiver ..current model... good sound..good tuner speaker A/B switch onboard..under 200 dollars..line out ... will be running bookshelf smaller speakers...
Denon doesnt seem to have a current model like this....
or alternatives????

A/B speakers are kinda hard to find n this day and age, kinda like onboard phono stages, and preamp outs are generally found on mid-high line units.

Your best bet is to look used.

If it does what you want, go for it. Yamaha is good.

If you don't mind refurbished with warranty then you can get a Denon or Onkyo with the features you want plus more.

You are not going to get a good tuner though. That doesn't exist anymore, avr's only have mediocre tuners.

While not up to McIntosh MR78 standards, if one invests in a decent, well placed antenna, many receivers can provide adequate performance, particularly when considering what this guy is willing to spend.

I've always said, and will say it again, I'd rather have a mediocre tuner with a great antenna than a great tuner with a poor antenna.
