new LCD TV owner wants to improve picture

Please advise:
I just bought a 17 inch Samsung LCD TV and want to receive the best possible image. For now, I have screwed my analog cable connection into the back of the television. But I'd like to use a component video or S-video cable connection to improve the image. What type of box should I get to make this possible (that is, one that accepts the Comcast analog connection on one side, and the component video or S-video connections on the other)? Is the best/only option a digital box that I have to rent from Comcast? Will the picture quality be markedly better? Is this the cheapest/only solution? Thank you

Jeff, You did not mention what the native resolution of the set is. If it's 1280x720 HDTV then you will want a cable box that is HD compatible. If your set is an EDTV (enhanced definition) then a digital box with a component out so you can use the 480P resolution capability of the set is necessay. If you want the best picture it is going to cost you.

Good luck.
